Bob Ractliffe, Chairman, President, Atrium CompaniesBob brings an invaluable wealth of managerial experience in the HVAC and building materials industry to his advisory role with StrionAir. He is currently President of Atrium Companies, a window and door manufacturer. Previously, he spent 15 years in executive management roles with Nortek, Inc., serving the HVAC and building products industry. He held divisional President roles, including the Nordyne HVAC group, which he turned from a money $120M money loser to a profitable $400M business in 4 years. Prior to Nordyne, he served as President of North American Operations for Carrier Corporation. Bob began his career with Westinghouse Electric, culminating as General Manager of the Power Generation division. He holds engineering degrees from Kings College in London and the University of Pittsburgh, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Reed Sarver, President & CEO, StrionAirReed's business leadership experience includes over 20 years dedicated to launching new technologies in the filtration and separations industry. Immediately prior to joining StrionAir, he was a Group Vice President of Pall Corporation, a $2B NYSE listed firm. Reed launched four new divisions at Pall during his career, growing businesses to sizes of up to $400 million. His unique expertise combines the disciplined required of a large organization with the entrepreneurial mindset necessary to create new ventures. His career spans experience in the semiconductor, power generation, aerospace and heavy industries. Reed holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Gregory Rossmann, Managing Director, U.S. Venture & Growth Capital, Carlyle GroupGregory J. Rossmann is a Managing Director focused on U.S. venture and growth capital opportunities. He is based in San Francisco. Previously, Mr. Rossmann was a Managing Director at Pequot Capital where since mid-2000 he focused on multi-stage investments in hardware, software, and services companies. Prior to Pequot Capital, Mr. Rossmann was a Managing Director at Broadview International where he managed the firm's global merger and acquisition practice in Hardware, Systems and Communications Equipment. Prior thereto, Mr. Rossmann was a Manager of New Business Development with Acterna Corporation and its subsidiaries. He was also a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Telemaster Corporation and former product manager and development engineer at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. specializing in signal processing, storage and networking semiconductor devices. Mr. Rossmann holds a B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Cincinnati and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Santa Clara. Mr. Rossmann currently serves on the Board of Directors of GCT Semiconductor, NETGEAR (NASDAQ: NTGR), and Touchdown Technologies. Kinney Johnson, Founding Partner, Sequel Venture PartnersKinney Johnson has been in the venture capital business since 1984. As a founding partner of Capital Health Venture Partners, Johnson was involved in approximately 25 early-stage, life science/healthcare start-ups through the American Healthcare Funds I and II. In 1995, Johnson became a founding partner of Sequel Venture Partners, a Boulder, Colorado-based venture firm specializing in start-up technology companies in the information technology, telecom, and healthcare sectors. Sequel has invested in 45 start-ups, and currently manages more than $400 million in three funds. In 1973, Johnson and two partners founded Fischer Imaging Corporation (OTC: FIMG). This venture grew from $1 million in revenue and 10 employees to become a highly profitable public company in the diagnostics imaging industry with revenue of $75 million and in excess of 560 employees. During his tenure as president of Fischer, Johnson was active in the acquisition of other companies, the management of a European subsidiary, the structuring of a leveraged buyout, and subsequent venture capital restructuring of the company. Johnson received a bachelor's degree in mathematics and business administration from Augsburg College in 1965, and a master's degree in mathematical computer science from University of Iowa in 1969, where he was the recipient of a joint grant from the American College Testing Company and the IBM Corporation. Kirk Holland, General Partner, Vista VenturesKirk has broad operating experience in business development, sales and marketing, engineering, and operations with companies such as Procter & Gamble and Sprint Corporation. He was also an investment banker in U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray's Internet and Enterprise Software Group, where he was involved in equity offerings and mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, Kirk was a Vice President at internet.com Venture Funds, where he led several software and information technology investments. Kirk received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from Stanford University. Bob Burgin, CEO of XP Events, LLCBob Burgin has 20 years of executive management experience with venture capital backed companies. He is currently serving as the CEO of XP Events, LLC, a rapidly growing privately held business. In addition to serving on the board of StrionAir, Inc. where he previously served as Chairman/CEO, Mr. Burgin also works as an Independent Contractor for Maverick Capital (a $9 billion private equity group), holding Maverick's board seat at an investment. Mr. Burgin previously served as CEO of Finali Corporation, a business which he founded in 1999 and sold in 2004 to Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG). He also served as Vice President Business Development at TheraTx, Inc. a healthcare services business which was ranked the 2nd fastest growing small public company in America by Inc. Magazine, where he helped to close a $112 million secondary public offering. Mr. Burgin is also an angel investor and former board member of Me.dium, Inc. Mr. Burgin holds a Business and Economics degree from Trinity University. Henry Newman, Solstice CapitalHenry Newman, has 30 years of venture capital investing, operations and public accounting experience. He is a co-founder of Solstice Capital. For more than seven years, Mr. Newman was a Vice President of BancBoston Ventures Inc., a venture capital subsidiary of Bank of Boston. Previously, he held various financial management positions at the Bank of Boston and was a CPA at Coopers & Lybrand. Henry is a director of CodeRyte, Quelsys, Lipton Corp Childcare, Intrak Wireless and was formerly a Director of Proton Energy Systems, Inc. He serves on the Investment Advisory Committee of Commons Capital LLC, a positive impact venture fund. Mr. Newman graduated from Bowdoin College and received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. |
